What to feed a tiny Eastern?

Snaker 01 Sep 19, 2004 01:03 PM

A friend of mine recently aquired a tiny Eastern Milk Snake. This snake is probably 5" long, and only the size of a B.B. Should I recomend a small salamander maybe or should I just tell her to release it and let nature take its course. She has already had it for a week now and it's just too small for a pinkie. I've got one just like it but I got mine from a pet store and it was already taking pinkies when I bought it.I would really like to see this snake to survive, any help would be appreciated.

Try small snakes, salamanders, frogs, lizards, skinks and pinky heads.

You could try a pinkie's tail, or maybe even a leg.

my young son caught a worm-sized baby eastern this summer-we tried the pinkieparts strategy,he wasn't interested-he then took some thawed newborn pinky that initially seemed too big, but it went down and he's been eating them ever since-good luck
