Possible ear infection...

monitorman315 Sep 19, 2004 02:33 PM

I have a juvenile rat whom ive noticed to be walk with her head tilted to one side constantly and im assuming it may be an ear infection and was wondering if anyone has had this and can offer any suggestions besides a vet visit that may clear it up. If seeing a vet is the only option then it'll probably be best to freeze her.

Thanks

that also could be not born right syndrome, got knocked around too much, better to freze than to treat and then feed with all that chemical, if it's going to be a feeder anyway.

Its definitely not," not born right syndrom" or anything genetic since this batch of juveniles were born in June of this year and ive not noticed any ill effects until now. I raised them from pups, they were my first litter i decided to keep and raise up as replacement breeders. Although i admit that it may be neurological but even that would show up soon after birth i believe.

Likely it is an ear infection or a pituitary tumor....I would freeze it off. It won't get better on it's own.
