I got 2 female leos today, almost full grown, same size. I put them in the same enclosure, and witnessed them laying together beside the humid hide earlier. Just now I was feeding them mealworms. The one wouldn't eat anything, but the other eas eating like a champ when it bit the non-eating one's tail! It grabbed on and started pulling the other one...I'm surprised it didn't lose its tail. Do you think the one mistook the other's tail for a mealworm?
I separated them right away, but the bite did break the skin...no blood, but the skin on the tail is broken...you can see where she was bit. Is there anything I should do? Is infection a worry? Should I keep them seperated permanently or just for feeding? Thanks for the help in advance.
