Question on Okeetees?

Steve_Craig Sep 19, 2004 09:28 PM

One thing I've always loved about Okeetee corns was the pure white bellie/vent area with the jet black checkerboarding contrasting with the pure white. My question is do some Okeetee/normal corns have the pure white bellie all the way from under the chin to the tip of the tail? Or do they all turn orange about midway on the snake. My Okeetee is pure white with the checkerboarding until about mid-body, then the white starts to turn orange the rest of the way. Here is a couple of pics of mine.

I will try to get a couple of pictures but just I noticed the same thing on one of my okeetees yesterday when I was feeding all of my snakes.
I didn't really look at the other three but I will try to get shots of all four for comparison.
Interesting.

My "normal/okatee" corns underside does the same thing. About half way back the white turns to orange. So yours isn't the only one.

Yep, both of my Okeetee corns and my one "normal" corn all have similar bellys, white until midway and then it gets orange. Haven't personally seen one yet that was all white but then again I never really looked that hard
