I've been reading a lot and everyone keeps sayign that you can feed your tegu ground turkey with a few other things. . . How do you go about preparing something like that? I've always just fed the mice, fruit, veggies. . . but I'd like to get into the turkey

There are a few ways that you can do this. You can go back and look at past posts on this forum it has been talked about alot, or you can do an internet search for the SDZ or San Diego zoo diet. You could also go to www.proexotics.com and look under their site on monitor faqs and it is listed in there. Basically it is 10 pounds ground turky, 90 grams bone meal, and two crushed centrum multi vits. take this mix it together and you have food.
I take and add fruit to mine also for ease of feeding then I place it in Ice cube trays and freeze. Then I pop them out and it works to keep it simple for feeding times. (this guy gets two cubes this one three etc)
Good luck and enjoy
