How common are gentalis ( central plains) ?

I was just wondering as I'm interested in acquiring a pr. Are they as easy as hondorensis. I handled the pr. & they already seem calmer then hondorensis of the same size/age range. they are a few months old.

in aquireing some as for sale and finding them ? Don't really know but I live where they are from ( Kansas ) and yu know they will not even get close to the size of hondurans. The neonates are sometimes hard to get feeding. Even adults can be tricky. So you will not ever have a gentilis big enough to eat anything close to an adult mouse. I have seen very few adults even able to put down hopper mice. So if that is not a problem with you, they are some of the nicest smaller , size wise , milks around with some varible patterns and a few with varible color. If you are pertaining to not being as active on holding and keeping compared to hondurensis , I would agree somewhat.

Yes I found a pr. for sale. I'm not worried about size as adults just wondering how common they are in the hobby. what are they about in cost? I have two albino hondorensis (females). I also have some prairie kings, san louis potisi,& eastern kings as far as lampropeltis go. Just I saw the pr. & they caught my eye. I have sevral books on kings so they basics I know.

probably around $100 for a nice pair of semi to adults. I don't know really since we have problems in Kansas of trying to sale native species. I saw very few gentilis for sale in my reptile/expo show days though. If they are REALLY, REALLY nice I wouldn't think they would be more than $150. Juvies would be a lot less expensive I would think.
