Moving Blaze (little stress as possible)

qtkitty Jun 26, 2003 05:34 PM

I would like to move Blaze with as little stress as possible .. she is in a 50 gallon tub right now ...

if i leave her in there it most lively will be more stressfull because of us straining to move the heavy container ..

would it be better to put her in a smaller container for the car ride then place her back into her larger container ... im thinking there should be dirt in this smaller container ..

i feel bad having to move her but there is no other way ..

if i put her out on the new land in her tub there are to many things that could happen to her .. i cant leave her in the trailor as they move it .. it would be to hot and to bumpy ...

when I need to take mine in the car I just wrap them in an old t-shirt or towel and stuff em in a bag or box and put em on the floor of the car in the front and point a vent at them (or use the heater/ac setting that puts air on them on the floor there) with it set to make the temp appropriate (in this case, some mild AC).

Then toss her home in the trunk or whatever and set it up at the new house and release her into it.

She'll travel fine. I ship animals all the time to and from our house and they do well packed into boxes for 24 hours.
