Water Dragon Cage

Swippersmom Sep 20, 2004 11:13 AM

Looking to purchase a water dragon cage. I have a male water dragon that is about a year old. I am looking to either build or buy his permanant home. I am looking for something 6 ft tall, 4 or 5 ft wide, and 3 feet deep. I needs somthing that is able to hold high humidity, and also able to be moved. I live in Richmond, Virginia so I am looking for something close to my area or information on shipping. Please help.

I ordered mine from Cagesbydesign.com but one that size would probably cost over $1200. You can probably build one for about $300, as long as you have the tools.

I looked on the web and the cost was terrible. I'm not very good with building things, but I may have to go that route. Can you forward me a picture of your cage. I looked at the ones here and they are awesome. I really want him to have something nice that he will be able to use for the rest of his life.

My guys had this one for awhile, then we gave them their own room instead of a cage. There are pics of it in the photo gallery.

Nice setup, do you still have it or have you sold it, cute baby. I have a three year old girl, needless to say I am putty in her hands.

The cage I still have, unfortunately we dropped it trying to move it down a flight of stairs and most of the plexiglass is broken. It is sitting in a corner waiting for us to fix it and get something to put in it.

Thanks, my son is two months old this week

How much did it cost you to build, and what is it made out of other than plexiglass?

It is an oak frame with oak plywood for the base and back. The sides and sliding doors are plexiglass, and the roof is pegboard, with holes cut out for the lights.

Oh, and I think the materials would be around $300, it was actually a kit from cagesbydesign.com that they dont sell anymore. At the time it cost us $600.
