HELP! QUICK!

quanno Jun 26, 2003 05:49 PM

my male beardie just bit one of my females in the face. there is a half circle gash on her face where he attacked her. Hes been kinda feisty with them, about twice a day he runs after them and bites their spikes, riding them around the cage. I just saw him bite her and when she ran off i saw a gash in her face with blood coming out. I put quick stop on it... anything else i should do?

Get the male out of there! Schedule a vet appointment for you female ASAP. Once it stops bleeding clean it with a dilute betadine solution and put in her own cage with paper towel substrate. You may want to darken her cage so she goes to sleep and does not move around much until you see your vet. Use common sense regarding advice...if it's really bad find an emergency vet.
