Feeding baby corn snakes?

milkman Sep 20, 2004 04:31 PM

I am the proud new papa of 8 newly hatched corn snakes (as of last week). What is the best thing to feed and how long should I wait to feed my babies.I tried the day after they were born to feed them pinkies but they didnt want nothing to do with them.So I am trying again today, but if that does not work I am at a loss.Any help would be great.

THANKS

Baby snakes typically don't eat til after their first shed...at about a week to ten days old. If they are set up with some privacy they are more likely to eat also. I would give them a week after they shed and offer a newborn pinkie mouse live. I am assuming you have them all housed separately.
