What do you think Leachianus or Chahoua?

Lint Sep 20, 2004 05:42 PM

Hey Guys,
ok well i have a big tank from my tokays. (moved them to a bigger one) its 20 inches long and tall and 12 inches wide. I think that be big enough for a Chahoua for life but defintly not a Leachie. SO my question is what do you guys think i should get a leachie or chahoua there both around the same prices but i need some good reasons for both or why one is better then the other or eaisier to takke care of etc. OH and good reliable care sheets on each pleeeez!

THANKS

-James

Well a 10 gal tank is very small. Most people dont even recommend them for cresteds. It is not big enough for any rhac for life (except POSSIBLY 1 crested). But ive heard that the Chahoua have more personality and are a little more personalable.

The cage you have is still kinda small for a single chahoua. Would work for growing one up to be moved to a little larger adult cage imo. Also i'd go with chahoua, i've been working with them for a couple years now and they are a joy to work with. Are very personable geckos, a lot less jumpy then cresteds. Don't get nearly as big as leachies but still a good size. They have a very cryptic coloration, i'm partial to the darker mainlands myself but a lot of people like the PI's as well. Email me off list if you have any other questions.
