Got a new corn and a lesson......more

Hoppy Sep 20, 2004 06:32 PM

Picked up a Nice Caramel Corn (Double Het for Amber and Butter) from Kathy Love yesterday. A huge Hatchling (I guess it is 4 months old now, but bigger then any of my babies this season. He is already showing really nice colors. And while I had the benifit of Kathy being there I asked her to show me the proper "popping" technique and she was kind enough to do so. Now that I am doing it right, I am in the process of sexing my baby corns, I was really bad at probing the little guys too worried I would hurt them and I was apperantly to gentel at popping them (Us darn Boa breeders think any thing smaller then four feet is just a worm LOL).
Thanks to Kathy and her willingness to tech an old dog new tricks.
Thanks

I know that feeling. I also just learned. Now you need to learn to sex alligators. LOL. It gets really interesting. While learning I pressed a little too hard and got peed on. It entertained my dealer friend who was teaching me and my boyfriend and was the talk of all our recent gatherings. lol. Good luck.
