I've let my tegu chase them around, and they are a bigger challenge because they are fast in the water. You can also gut load them like crickets, goldfish will eat almost anything you put in their water. And since they are all bones and scales, they are a higher source of calcium than crickets, probably about the same as mice. Fun to watch!

I had a friend who lost two of his savannah monitors, which were undoubtedly captive bred by another friend from parasites in goldfish, they are dirty and usually contain worms. Even gut loaded they have nowhere near the nutritional value as rodents. If gut loaded and dusted they might come close to a couple of roaches or crickets. If watching your tegu chase goldfish is worth their health to you, go for it, but im sure its not. stick to the basicks, and the "known to be good" food.

feed goldfish to oscars and turtles, not to lizards, especially lizards of such value and pure awesomeness, want to watch something cool, givem pinkies everyonce and awhile and watch em go nuts, also hissing roaches etc.
