I was wondering which does anyone think is a better pet a blue tongue skink or a tortoise (russian or greek). i saw one person's list of pets had a russian tortoise and blue tongue skink so what do you think? which is more personable? what do you like better?

I have 3 blueys and one tort. Does that answer your question?

Torts are really neat and I love em but when your lookin for personality, you go for a bluey!!! Especially a tanimbar bluey!!!

i personally interact more with my BTS. They seem to interact more with their owners. BUT you may want ot also consult with the tortoise forum boards.

I recieved my Russian as a long term captive, but she was still wild caught. Russians are best bought as CB. As are BTS. As far as i know, griff was CB.

I love all of my kidsl, so i cannot choose one over the other, but i would urge you to research both thouroughly before jumpin into anything. that is one thing i didnt really do with my tort. Luckily the problems that i have encountered have been righted throught the knowladge and consensus of these forums. This is the best place to start if you are interested in getiing either (or maybe even both !!)
