Some new corns....

lovelyleopards Sep 20, 2004 10:38 PM

Just wanted to take advantage of the new photo gallery space and post some pics of a few new corns I got at a local herp show on Saturday. There was guy there selling corns that said he was just cleaning out some of his "normal" stock, and the prices were incredible - so I had to pick out a few new animals. In all, I purchased 8 awesome snakes from him for $90. Unbelieveable, huh? And the thing is, they all have great weight and look healthy as heck. I picked up a 2000 normal female, proven breeder het for snow for $25. She is quite pretty - and she's the only one I don't have a pic of right now. I also got the '03 snow male pictured below, an '03 anery female, an '04 snow hatchling, an '04 anery hatchling, and a '04 1.2 trio of Apricot Pueblan milks. I had gone to the show intending to come home with something higher end, but I couldn't pass these guys up. Besides, since the 200 female and the '03 animals will be breeding size next year easily, I'll breed some stripes and motleys with them and get some amel, anery, and snow hets for stripe and motley. Anyway, here are the pics...

I agree those are some great snakes and you got quite a deal. I have to say I'd like to get ahold of an anery as I have a snow, miami, okeetee, 2 creamsicle, and a caramel. Not only do we breed them to eachother, we make jungle corns by mixing them with our chocolate king and our albino king. Oh and I have to ask, is your pueblan nippy? Both of mine are horribly feisty. lol. good luck.

Thanks! These are the first two anerys I've ever had - I know most ppl don't find them that attractive, but I think they're awesome. I love jungle corns too - If I had a cal king, you can bet that's what I'd do with it! Instead though, I have a single female adult tangerine honduran (that's ready to breed) and a stripe corn male het amel - looking like some Corndurans het stripe and poss het amel next year. Can't wait 'til the F2 generation. The little Pueblans aren't nippy, but in typical milk fashion, they're spastic as all getout. *Maybe* they'll calm down, but I'm not holding my breath... here's a pic of one of the females...
