Yesterday I found these weird squishy bumps on my big male veiled. They're under the skin and mostly on his tail. Could they be mites? What do u guys think? We oiled him down just incase and he's going to the vet if they don't go away within 2 days.

Probably not mites. The vet could take a sample of the tissue or fluid and find out. Might be abscesses. Cause? No idea.
what kind of cage do you have if it is wire it could be hes gettin it stuck in it. Or is there something else bitting him, crickets will chew on the reptile if left in the cage to long with no food. Im just guessing, Just stuff I came up with. It might not be nothing but then again it might save you a trip to the vet. Good luck...Scott....
Believe it or not, I have an old male(8yrs ), and he has a very large lump on his side. It looks like an extremely huge white mole. The vet told me that it was due to his aging & nothing to worry about. I don't know if your problem is the same as my guy, but I thought I'd offer this information. By the way, I breed veiled chameleons, but this guy is just a pet. His sperm has been infertile for a few years now. Honestly thought he would have died by now, but he lives on. Has to be bowl fed too. Can't catch the crickets anymore.
Cricket
Thanks for the info guys. He's in a big screen cage solo and all his munchies are given to him in a bowl. He's starting to hang out near the bottom of his cage though which I know is never a good thing for a cham. His color is still bright so I assume he's not feeling too bad. We have a vet apointment Tuesday. It would be sad if he didn't make it. He sure did love the ladies.
