Help on exporting from the US

GatorGal Jun 26, 2003 06:35 PM

If someone wants to export non-CITES, non protected species from the US (to Canada), do they need an export permit? If so whom would that person contact? What are the fees and the duration the permit is valid for?

Any help or advice offered is greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much,
GatorGal

Contact USFWS to obtain export information.

And the recipient needs to check things out with the Canadian folks, too. They might need a permit, depending upon the species, if not for national, then possibly for provincial.
