yeah, im off the deep end..i know its reccomended to wait and survive an adult iguana in season before even considering another, but too late for me. my sisters friends brother has an iguana who they say is 6 years old. he is about 2 and a half feet STL, at most, and is a little demon. hes in a fish tank but her brother is getting rid of him for some fish instead..and she (sisters friend) is the caretaker but shes only 11 and doesnt know how to take care of an iguana, she never wanted one. the tank itself is very very dirty, highly soiled newspaper, the water dish is , im pretty sure, no water content mixed in the poop at all... he had a dish of dried up greens and no UV, no heat or too much heat in the summer as his tank is near a window and the house has no AC or heat in the winter. i held him once and that was 6 days ago, my arms still look more scratched up thenr theyve ever been. he is never held or loved or talked to and his nails are never clipped, 20 little razor sharp claws. when i did pick him up, once, he was flailing around "alligator roll" in my arms, shed skin pulled off in large peices off his belly and back, and his mouth was wide open looking for anything to bite onto, tail whipping, and all his nails trying to climb up my forearm! after i put him back i wrapped my arms in discinfectant then gauzed them for a few days. we go to get him July 7th or 8th. other then a hole in his dewlap which has been healed over he "looks" fine (my Zephyr "looks" fine, too, though, and has kidney disease and mbd)

his name is "Ziggy" however i wonder about changing it as i call Zephyr 'Ziggy'
