confused cham, (funny)

I started trying to breed my new WC chameleon a few months ago. Gently putting the female in his cage in front of him, he turned awsome colors and did the usual head bobbing as he ran over to her in excitment. He climbed ontop of her very gently as she sat there like the perfect lady. I'm thinking "excelent, this is going to be the easiest pair to breed"

boy was I wrong. The next thing I know the male has climbed over her, turned around and climbed back on with his tail in her face! Of course being a female with the only desires to eat breed and lay eggs...she does not like this idea of forplay and soon gets mad at him. So she turns dark and runs away.

This goes on EVERY TIME I put them together for a month 2x's a week!

So someone sugests that he needs to see how its done...thinking what the hell...maybe...I let him watch another pair...Still He insists on forplay before action.

So I then try to put him in the right place...but still he wants nothing to do with her tail end. By this time it has been 2 months of trying!

Ususally I like to be home when breeding my chameleons so I make sure nothing bad happens, and I can separate them when they are done. But I decide I'll just leave them together until he either figures it out or stresses her out to much. So I put her in the cage and go to work, Finaly after 10 hours of being together in the same cage he tires of forplay and gets the job done!

Anyone else ever have a chameleon enjoy alittle forplay? and how did you solve it if so?
