DOES ANYONE HAVE A 65GAL. SETUP FOR DART FROGS? IF SO....SHOW SOME PICS

jkins Sep 21, 2004 04:35 PM

Hello,
I recently came across a 65gal tank and I am going to set it up for darts. One problem though is I can't decide how to set it up. Any pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You can do it alot of ways, your imagination is the limit. You can silicone some cork bark halves to the back then fill in the gaps with expanding foam. You can use expanding foam as the background, like at BlackJungle. Be creative. After the plants grow and fill in, it will look great.

Try here:

This is what it will look like planted:

Thanks for the links. I have used the expandablke foam I like it alot. Ther only problem I have had is I am getting mold biuld of the CoCo bedding I used to cover it up similar to what blackjungle did. Have you had any issues regarding this? Anyways tank looks great. Thanks again.

Any mold will go away after everything stabilizes in the tank.

Hopefully it does go away I am just worried about putting my frogs in there with the mold. Thanks for the help.
Thanks, Josh

I have an 85 gal. No frogs in it yet, as I am working on getting the humidity high enough, but I am designing it as a PDF habitat. Yes, it needs more broms, and it actually looks much different now, as I recently added a false bottom and re-landscaped the whole thing, and am now using bark instead of potting soil, but it will give you an idea. =) In the next couple of days I'll be installing a misting system (have all the stuff, just need to buy some more RO water), and then I'll take pics of my new set-up, which is better than this one. Anyways, enough talk. Here is my tank several months ago!

My Viv.

Thanks for the pictures. For some reason though the link to check them out does not work. It says "page not found". I don't know if this is something you can fix but if you could I would love to see the pics. Anyways thanks for the help. Take care.
