Both the male and the female can reach a maximum length of approx. 6 feet. There aren't any sub-species of corallus hortulanus, nor is there any rhyme nor reason to the coloration. I have seen in the Neo-Tropical Tree Boas book where they find all colors and phases at all locales and elevations. I do know if you breed a red to a red you SHOULD have mostly red babies, same with yellow to yellow, garden to garden, etc. However it is never a rule and any color combination can produce just about anything.
