Just wondering if anyone's used these in wood or melamine cages,or even plastic cages? How well do they work, are they safe? Any info would be great, thanks!

I have been using the Pro Product Radiant Heat Panels for many years and feel it is one of the best heat sources on the market today. I don't have experience with Desert Rays but have tried others and found them to be far inferior to Pro Products (but perhaps Desert Rays has a good design). These panels can indeed be mounted to the inside roofs of wood or plastic style cages making them a very versatile product and application. We use them both for my home collection as well as my herp collection at the wildlife museum that I am Curator of.
