Just Double Checking Temps for a Newly Hatched Sav...

LoneGreyWolf20 May 14, 2003 10:36 PM

I just purchased a pretty newly hatched Sav and wanted to double check my Temps... My basking area is 130F to about 140f with the other side of the cage at around 85f. I don't remember if adult temps are generally regarded ok for a hatchling. he is about 5" StV as of right now and the cutest thing. Has a lot of rust color throughout his body with some yellow under his lower jaw.

Thanks in advance,
LoneGreyWolf20

those temps sound real good. as long as there is a temp gradient, and the animal can get away from the high basking temps, there is little danger. of course, make sure there is water available as well : )
