This could be a good kid in a hurry, or someone whose second language is English. In either case I am sure we would want to make that person feel welcome in this forum.

About 30-40% of the animals I get are from kids who go to "collage". Contact your closest reptile rescue. And next time, think ahead a few years (like a dozen) before you buy something else you'll need to find a home for.

Other kids reading this: You know SOMETIMES, just maybe SOMETIMES, grown-ups have other reasons for saying "No, you may not have a pet" other than just being afraid of them. You see, SOMETIMES, our experience has taught us to look ahead to the future to see obstacles like this.

(NO, most colleges will NOT let you have animals in the dorm, and many colleges REQUIRE you to live on campus the 1st and/or 2nd year - that means NO PETS for you - sorry... I lived through it, so can you!)

As for the rest of you, yes, this is what we teachers in high school face. And if we take off points for spelling, we are told we're insensitive to the creativity of our students, or some such nonsense. We're to be supportive of their ignorance, not point it out to them.

:::sigh:::

I lived in a house instead of the dorms and brought all my animals along for the ride. Though I'm sure if you are a freshman they may not let you live off campus. See if you can, or see if you someone who can watch your snakes for a little while if you pay for food, etc..
Good Luck!!!!
