After reading and looking at your pictures below about the red or red/blue cross tegu. I thought there might be some interest in sharing what I have learned about red/blue crosses.
First, they are extremely rare since reds and blues breed at
different times of the year.
Second, they have only been produced by two breeders:
Ron and Stella St Pierre at bluetegu.com and
Ryan Blakley at Walter's World of Pets in Lubbock, Tx
According to Stella St Pierre all others are bogus.
At bluetegu they get $500.00 for their red/blue cross.
Ryan has one from 2002 hatch left for $200.00.
I can't tell you what they look like as adults because mine is still young. Care and behavior I'm still working on. I bought a baby red tegu and now have them both in a 40 gallon breeder. They act like best buddies. The competetion from the little one has the blue/red cross trying lots of new things. Very interesting. Hope this helps answer some of the red/blue cross
