nice burm. did he come to you tamed or do you have to tame him, and is that a heat pad on the side of the cage?

make_urself Jun 26, 2003 10:03 PM

Yes he came very tame. In fact im holding him as we speak. And yes that is a heat pad. its only a small one and i have a low watt bulb that keeps the temp just right. I have a digital thermometer inside his tank to tell me how its doing.

Ya i know what you mean. I was thinking of buying a burm that a breeder was showing me but when i held it it went crazy and tagged my hand so i decided on teh green lol

is that the probe for your digital therastat on the heat pad? if so move it to the middle of the cage. you want to get the temp of the air not the heatpad since its on the side its not going to burn your snake. but there is a chance that with it on the pad your getting a totally wrong temp.

thermostat**** sorry i hate misspelling words

make_urself Jun 27, 2003 11:47 AM

No the heat pad is placed under the tank. Not on the side. Its under the bedding. I just placed the Probe in the middle so i can pick up a general air temp. I keep it at 86 and the snake eats fine so far.

thats a sticker. well by reading the post above i could of sworn you sayed that that was the heatpad on the side.

Ya i guess i kinda did leave it open for misinterpretation. Sorry.
