Boaphile vs. Jason's Jungle Racks

CJBianco Sep 23, 2004 06:11 AM

I'll be ordering one of these soon (today?), and I'd like to hear what you guys have to say about each. Personally, I kinda like Jason's lower price, but Boaphile racks are six-deep. I'm drawn...and could really use the opinions of experienced breeders.

Please excuse me if this question seems a bit ill-mannered, for I'm sure that both designers frequent this forum daily. Therefore, replies may be directed via e-mail if you prefer.

Thanks Once Again,
Chris

Hi I have been using Jason's Jungle racks for a year now, and I love 'em!!! I have had no problems what so ever, and he has always been very helpful when I need more racks. Right now I have about 9 of his racks, they rule!!! He also does custom work if you need larger racks, pretty much does whatever you need. Also, I breed all of my Ball Pythons in these racks, and had no troubles in that area either, just hook them up to a Helix and you are set. Hope that helps.

Great! Now what the heck's a Helix? =) Is that a thermostat of sorts? I'll be receiving my new Big Apple Proportional Thermostat today. That'll work...right? =/

while I don't house bps in my rack from Jason (I house my boas I also bought from him), I am extremely pleased with the rack and dealing with Jason in general. He does do custom work - wouldn't hurt to see if he can make a rack exactly as you want. I highly recommend both his snakes and racks to anyone.

A Helix is a thermostat. I like Helix's the best, although the Big Apple thermostat is also good. The Helix has a few more features and add ons, but I use both and have no problems with either one.

I've got 8 of the Boaphile sweaterboxes and have had them for almost two years now. I'm still as happy with them as the day I bought them and am considering picking up some of his rhino racks. I don't know anything about Jasons Jungle so can't comment on them.

in my book, now I have not used jasons racks so take it for what its worth, but I love the boaphile racks, I have the Ball Room rack and a hatchling rack. His hatchling rack at 200 shipped has 10 units, jasons hatchling rack has 12 units but with shipping it costs around 240....

On the larger racks the boaphile is more expensive though, but the quality is just outstanding ..... Ill probably always go his way for future racks, Im just to damn impressed with them.

After carefully researching just about EVERY rack available (from PVC to 2x4s), I've purchased from Jason. I'm absolutely POSITIVE I made the right choice. Thank you all for your help and opinions.

Oh...and you're right...he is a great guy!

Thank Again,
Chris

Iv'e had two snakes escape from boaphile racks, a honduran milksnake (yearling) and a neonate temporalis. so his are NOT escape proof. I now own some of Jason's racks and noone has escaped. jeff
