If you have to ask if your snake is a normal, or a morph, it is a normal.
that's not what i ment, haven't seen many on here with the masked marking..that's all i ment...there's no reason so type in caps as though i'm an idiot...thanks anyhow
I really didnt mean to offend you, but people are always trying to sell their normal BP as some kinda made up morph, and I guess it is just getting to me...... Sorry.
that's fine, i jus haven't seen one with these markings and was wondering, that's all, i was not trying to say it was some morph or anything special in no sense, alot of ppl on here have helped me out n i appriciate their help
My bp has the same head harkings almost exactaly
that's kewl...i haven't seen any like him/her so was jus wonderin if anyone had....as u can tell, mine hasn't been sex'd yet...
I don't think they are "always trying to sell their normal bp as a morph".
Many wild-caught animals exhibit some characteristics of morphs and it is perfectly acceptable for people to ask about them in this forum. At one time albinos, axanthics, pastels, mojaves, ghosts, etc. were unheard of. Wild-caught specimens proved out, therefore becoming classified as "morphs". So who decides what a "morph" is? It obviously isn't just about genetics, but about desirability as well. If a unique characteristic turns out to be genetic, is it a morph? I'd say YES, regardless of what many people in here might think. Would it fetch a premium price? Not necessarily. But just because it doesn't show up on the websites for NERD, the Sutherlands, Bob Clark, MKR, or whatever does not make it simply "normal". Ball pythons vary so much that I'd contend that there really isn't any such thing as "normal" at all! And if a pastelish, black-back, full-stripe, busy pattern, or whatever animal is worth a couple bucks extra to somebody, then THAT is what it is worth. If someone is willing to pay $150 for a ringer, WHO THE HECK ARE YOU to say that the person that sold it to them ripped them off if that customer walks away happy?
thank you, like i said i was not trying to say my bp was anything special look wise...though he is special to me being as he/she is my first snake. I just wanted opinions on the ball is all...nothing more nothing less
There was a link here in kingsnake....i think it was in the care and fact sheets that offered another way (although not as accurate) to sex your snake...i am so sorry i cannot remember the exact site, it i am sure you will run across it just as i did...poke around a bit...and good luck!
beautiful ball!! great pic!
thanks, i did come across a site that said a way to push with one thumb on each side or something...but my snake won't stay still for me to do that....n i'd b afraid of hurting him anyhow...i'm sure i'll get him sex'd one of these days...when i talk the ol man into lettin me get another one....lol
thanks
