Anyone try a Vision for their beardies?

Snakemother Sep 23, 2004 02:22 PM

I'm tempted by that new one that's 4 feet long and 26 inches wide for my trio. Anyone use them? Is there room for the lights needed for beardies? Still stackable with those lights?
Thanks!

How high is it?

The lighting will depend on the type of fixture installed in the cage. If it has an internal basking bulb fixture they will stack. Unfortunately most specify you need a dome light for the basking bulb, can't stack em with the dome.

I bought the cage you are referring too.
14" x 26" x 48"
It is a pretty nice built cage. But I think
I would get the next tallest one instead.
With the fixture places built into it.
First The company recommended that I use one of
those combo lights. But when I talked with
several breeders. They said not to use those.
Can not remember why.
I ended up cutting a hole
in the top for the basking light fixture. (under the counter
Pot light) Which ruined it for stackable.
Also the heat from the light caused the plastic to bow a bit.
Which I can fix with some braceing.
The fluorscent worked out just fine in there.
And He is really close to the heat and UVB. 3 inches accually.

It would work well for snakes who can use under the tank heaters.
Just my imput on it.

I agree Radena they work great for my snakes but the Vision models 332 and 422 are much more suited to dragons having accommodations for basking lights and fluorescents.

Sorry, I've been out of the loop. Is trio your dragon's name or are you planning to put 3 dragons in this tank?
