I just got my new argentine b&w yesterday and I have a few questions.
Hes about 9-10 months old and a little moody, not really liking to be touched much. He starts aggressively as well when hes buried under the susbtrate and its touched - is he likely to respond well to frequent handing? He was handled moderately at the pet store, but Im obviously looking to dedicate more time to him.
He woke up this morning and was sneezing a little - I then went to work so I couldnt tell if it continued. Hes on orchid bark. Hes been hiding under the substrate since I got back, though when I encouraged him out he looked very tired and just kept laying down and closing his eyes as though dozing off. Are these things related? Should I be concerned? He also didnt eat anything today, though he ate 2 mice yesterday - is he settling in, or just not hungry today?
Finally, how often should I supplement (and with what - calcium or vits? I have Nutrobal which contains calcium AND vits - can this be used exclusively or not)?
I have read several sites and a book, but am not too sure what to do - should I suspect respiratory infection? Its kind of difficult to get a close look at him while hes not completely handleable.
Any help you could give would be great.
