Baby Corn Snake or Texas Rat Snake?

Found on a gravel road west of San Antonio, Texas in semi-arid cactus and mesquite ranch land.

I don't think there are any corns in Texas. I would say Great Plains Rat....a better find than a Texas rat...those things are mean.

Corn snakes do occur in Texas, but not out there. We have them around College Station where I am.
