bloodboy128 Sep 23, 2004 09:23 PM

Ok well he's doing great. He calmed down alot now he only bites when i take himout...but once out of the cage hes quite docile./ I fed him for the secondtime today. Hesabout30" and i gave hima good sizemouse as i will every 5 days. My female mouse looks really fat today i think by the end of the weekend shell gimme some babys. I have a question though...Today when he ate he constricted it and then started wallowing several times and released it then did it again? was it because i was in therooom? Ok well anyway next week I am going to try my first frozen mouse...I wasgoing to Thaw it in warm water for 30minutes then put it under a heat lamp for 2 minutes? Is that good does anyone else have any methods for me?
Thanks a lot,
Jake

You should really save yourself the trouble and feed it rats..I got a baby burm that was about 30" and was fed mice before i got him...it was kinda difficult to get him switched..They grow so fast that a mouse will be too small in a couple months..I think mine is about 8 month old and is pushing 5ft....

Agreed. Get him on FT Rat pups. Rats are so much more nutritious. You'll see him grow leaps and bounds on rats. Then you don't have to worry about getting him switched later on. You'll regret it when you have to feed him like 8 mice at a time, lol.

Since we are on the topic of switching them, just put him on rabbits. Pinky rabbits work well and then you dont ever have to switch them, just grow them up on rabbits.
