I'm pretty sure they all have the long tounge. There are some reptiles that are mistakenly called chameleons sometimes (can't remember the name off hand) because they change tones of a colour, they don't have the long tounge, but they also aren't chams.

ive heard of anoles called chams before. deffinattly not chams lol.

ive heard the term "american chameleon" used beofre and wasnt sure if that was aimed at anoles or not.
Yup, good "Anoles" are reffered to as chameleons because they can change from browns to greens I believe.
There are several species of Anoles also.
American Anoles, Males tend to be Green while females tend to be brown....eh, not to sure, but they run about 2.00 each at petstores and are readily available for feeders.
