I use non-toxic potting soil. I have used this type before and even with amphibians w/o any problems.

Nice foxes.Im just a little further south than you and I dont think Ive ever seen a fox snake.Lots of black rats and water snakes,garters,bulls and even the rare eastern hognose.If you love field herpin Clinton Lake in Dewitt county cant be beat in April.You can find dang near anything there and all you have to do is sit down cast a line out and drink a few cold ones on the rocky bank.

I would love to get one to add to my Elaphe collection!!! Really like the colors on the foxes!! Thanks for sharing!
