r u sure those pics work 4 you?

I don't know. If you kinda squint and look real hard it DOES look like a couple lil' bumps starting to form. Hard to see but I think they might be developing. This is a young leo. Course I'm pretty new and am not real sure what age these things normally show up, so maybe you should just keep monitoring REAL close, maybe even seperate them until you are possitive, Just to be safe ya know? Wouldn't want to find out by coming home from work to a badly hurt leo.

I think I see the "dots" on both of them, but I am new to lg's and it is kind of late and im tired. Maybe seperate just for safety.

when i bought this gecko i was told it was incubated at 82 degrees-and right now they get along just fine-so at what age do they become aggresive?

SpikeNsquirt Sep 24, 2004 07:58 AM

Looks to me like some pores are forming....not sure though.

I can see how some say it's a female and other say it's a male. I think a better pic would help. I can deffinately see some pores and two bluges starting to form but it's kinda hard to tell. Plus you said it was incubated at 82?

We need to know.. How old is this gecko? It appears to be a female, but it could even be a male in development.. If this leo was incubated at 82*F I stand by what I said and I believe it's female.

this leo is not very old-i got it in the 3rd sunday in july at about the age of 2 months i would say-so he/she is about 5-6 months so may be a male in development as soon as i can get ahold of another tank i will probably seperate them at least until i know for sure-again no signs of agression between the two but they are both only about 6 months old-i got the male in may at maybe a month or so old at the most-so neither is mature enough yet to fight i odn't think-i will try to post better pics but the gecko in question is hard to photograph he/she is not the type to stay still and look pretty for the camera. here is another pic that may show more detail but i doubt it will help much.

Females have pores as well they are just not defined or dark, they can also have what looks like bulges.
Take a look at them next to each other you should be able to see the difference in the bulges as well.

Definitely male.

SableLynx Sep 24, 2004 11:43 PM

Well laz, Based on the reponses I would suggest seperating them and waiting to see if anything more "developes"

Yes temperature does sex leos but its not always 100% accurate. I have a male that i bought as a female and i believe he was incubated at 82-83 degrees and he popped out male...so when in doubt dont always rely on temp....
