These hurricanes are really starting to take its toll on all of us Floridians!
In all my life being a born native here I have never whitness so much hurricane activity.
The gas stations already ran out of gas this morning when we went to fill up, the lines are down the street, people are more prepared than they used to be, thats because we have had a hurricane almost every weekend for the last month and a half.
Shutters are back on but the trash and yard debres from hurricane Frances is still along the roads in many areas, they say just last week they have 5 years worth of yard debres in just one week.

I'm not trying to bore all of you with this hurricne stuff again so I just want to wish every one a good luck and be safe and hope we don't lose power for weeks again, that is just too hard to deal with again.

Hope to talk to you all again, real soon. just something to look at!

late,
Nick

While we havent got the total devistation that the floridians have had from the canes we have taken a beating aswell. We have had two of the worst major floods since 1940's here in western NC.Last count i heard on the news was 200 roads closed due to wash outs or landslides.1-40 going over the mountain to Tenn is washed out i think they did get 1 lane open each way but not sure howlong it will stay open it washed a huge section down the mountain and can only be a matter of time before more of it goes. never heard a solid count on the number of bridges that were damaged or just gone due to flooding, some towns lost a huge percentage of homes or buisness damaged tothe point it will be months and months before they can re open. and now with jeneane she is coming back down the pipes and while i know none ofthe east coast deserves all this esp florida these damned ole hill cant take much more either lol . if it dumps nearly any amount of rain up here there will most certainly be more floods , landslide & roads , homes and bridges taken out.I drove up the mountain sunday and it was amazing the amount of damage these hill have taken so far all along the the main highway going up roads were washed out just from water flowing down the shoulders , lanslides seemed to be as frequent as passing a minimart , and just the devistation it put on small towns that were isolated from everything due to roads & bridges being taken out leaving them virtually prisoners on a island almost . Again i hope everyone in this storms paths fair well and suffer no loss of life or homes. best of luck to everyone!

Next time I start to complain that California (Sacramento) has boring weather I will shut up!!!

Will say prayer for you....I went through Hurricane Celia in Aransas Pass as a kid and it was not something I ever care to experience again.
