Hatchling photos

Hi Everyone,

The babe is going to be 4 weeks old Monday. He has pronounced scales below the vent that I could see from the day he was born and no spots there, so I am going to cautiously say he is a male. He needs a name! Saige is still fat but no signs of eggs to come. My boyfriend suggests she has decided to "let herself go since she has a man and food and no hawks flying overhead anymore." Otis has calmed down a bit, he still digs more than he used to, but I can see his claws trying to grow back. Fawn is still her fearless juvie self, wanting to explore everything. Too bad she is the same color as my carpet, the others get a little more freedom because they are easier to spot.
Last weekend I went to Telluride (Colorado) for the annual Blues and Blues Festival. The festival is always an awesome time, with an incredible line-up and lots of microbreweries.(http://tellurideblues.com/2004/2004performers.html)
I go every year, but this is the first year I have had lizards. I left them with a friend who also has collareds, but still suffered extreme seperation anxiety and even had to call and check on them!
New hatchling pics can be seen at http://vrk.photosite.com/hatchling/
At the top of that page is a link to "view all albums." If you are interested I have also posted some pics from the festival. There are also some pics of JFK, they were found amongst my gramdmother's things when she died. My grandfather was the chief of security for a presidential visit, and I believe these to be private photos that the public has probably not seen. I love the car, the way the door opens, and his suit!
Talk to you all soon, and thanks for all the help with my many questions. Valerie

He is growing into the toes! The camera angle is only partially to blame, hehe.

I guess I am keeping him. I sure love the little critter. I really don't have a place for 2 males, but right now he is ok alone in his little cage. We are building a big terrerium for Otis and the girls, once they are settled, the babe can have their old digs. I guess he can go in with them for a while when he is a juvie?
