ok so i am going out today to buy the good stuff:P its gonna cost me 50 bucks that i dont have, but i would rather have happy, healthy snakes..and owe somebody 50 bucks:P ok now i know it will have instructions on it...but just wondering, do i spray the whole tank? substrate? hides? and all? and then let it sit and air out for a bit, then just put him back? should i do all my tanks? to be safe i was thinking i should that way if anything has transfered it will kill it off before it gets to be a HUGE problem
thank you everybody for your help it is very much appreciated

yea i couldnt find anything for puppys, and this is a small snake, and the big dog stuff i thought might be too much, so i borrowed some cash and got Provent a mite...seems better then the reptile relief i got..it says its good for up to 2 weeks, or 30 days, does that mean that what i did tonight, i dont have to do again for another 30 days? or once i start to see mites? i let it air out alot, i put a fan in the room and pointed it towards the tank to get some circulation in there...i hope he does ok, this wont hurt him at all will it?

I think you will find that you won't have any mites to change out for, but you could change it for fresh spray in a couple weeks. I spray the newspaper substrate OUTSIDE (as in not in the house even) and then, when it is dry, use it in the cage. I have sprayed paper, bagged it up and given it to people and they use it in there mitey snake tank and No more mites. Easy. Some people like Reptile Relief but I have not seen it work unless you are already doing 60 other things to get rid of the bugs. Too much work for me.
