I would believe so. As humans have lungs and since chams have lungs then they would pretty much be subjected to the same as us, but on a much larger scale as with an infant. (because of the smaller size)
If we are subjected to second hand smoke fairly often its almost just as bad as taking and smoking a cigarette.
If chameleons where immune to this and wheren't bothered by this, scientists would have long figured that out and started testing these animals a long time ago to see if there was anything they could do to prevent the long term effects on humans, such as cancer.
