i have a refrigerator out side and every night there is at least 10 huge slugs on it, and have been wanting to offer one to my argus/sand cross does anybody think that is a bad idea?

I would not recommend it for two reasons. First, any harmful chemicals and pesticides the slugs have been exposed to can carry these to your monitors. Over time these toxins can build up and cause problems. If you are talking about an occasional snack, then obviously this would not be a concern. Which brings me to the second point. Snails, grubs, slugs and other soft and sticky foods have a tendecny to create soft, liquidy and very smell feces in your monitors. Even if they stay healthy, cleaning up after them will be very gross.
