Unfortunately, my uros do not want to come out and pose for me today. I guess they're still getting adjusted to their new home.
Here are the "work in progress" pics.

This is the artificial burrow setup minus the substrate.

I like it!
I want to build a box in the corner of my room with tunnels like that for Annabella so she'll have more freedom then she does now. I can't yet though because the 80F temp is to hard to maintain in my room and winters coming so it's going to get cold, plus she's had enough moving around I think since I went to get her from my friend. Hope they like their new home as much as I do

Those are some lucky Mali's you got there Sunfox. I think I might buy a 125 gallon terrarium one of these days and build the ULTIMATE set up for Ares.

Looking good! One question... The hide spots do you fill the plastic containers with soil so that when they are in them they have some dirt there or you just leave it empty. Sorry if it sound dumb. I was just asking because I would like to do something like that for Buddy now that he is all better and gaining weight

I filled it with soil so it would have some humidity. This way, my uros can use it to help with their shed.

By the way, there's no such thing as a dumb question.

Thanks I showed my husband your tank and he said that we can do something like that for Buddy. This would give him more things to do. Right now he bask in his spot BUT when he sees us he gets all excited and wants out sothat he can run around.

Poor Buddy's hipbones are razors! I just feel sick when I think someone would sell him in such a condition. I'm so glad he's with you guys now!!

On the original topic , I love Ra and Isis's new setup! How large are the sleeping chambers? How many quarts or gallons or whatever? The ones I have are large (more like nest boxes), but I like the idea of having smaller ones where they fit in nice and snug.

The tank is 125 gallons. I'm not sure exactly how big the sleeping chambers are, I just picked out ones that seemed big enough. I found them today cuddled up in Isis's nestbox. Looks like they can get cozy just about anywhere.

Sorry I can't be more help then that.
