Who buys these things?

pyromanic666 Sep 24, 2004 08:29 PM

are there actually people out there who are willing to pay over 10,000 dollars for a pet snake? I'm thinking of buying and breeding an axanthic x a couple hets and selling the babies. would this be a profitable little business? how fast does the price go down on morphs? does it matter if you get snakes from a smaller dealer as opposed to RDR?

NOONE buys them for just pets...they are to make money as breeders...like you mentioned for the axanthic thoughts you have.......

prices go down....not that fast for recessive gened snakes....

......yes..you can save hundreds....even thousands of dollars going with a smeller breeder...you just have to make sure you pick the correct smaller breeder and not get ripped off........even big dealers can rip you off.....big breeders will get more of your money...but they are there to go back to for problems...or for more snakes......

like I said.....pic the right one......

Hey... before we start I just want to say that there is another site that has refrences on people... I cant post the name here but if you email me at GGexotics@hotmail.com I can shoot you in the right direction... as for RDR I have never done business with them but many many people have... from reading Ralphs journals (Yes i'm yet another Booner waiting each week to read about Ralphs life) he is a really good guy... but you can save hundreds/Thousands from buying from a small breeder (you must remember if you buy/breed your Axantic that you want to get... you'll fall into the "small breeder" catagory) so... you can either go with a big breeder (which will most likely help you out if you need it questions/anwsers) or you could go with the small time breeder (email me for that other site) but before you invest LOTS of money (cause thats what you'll do) make sure you do research on anyone your going to buy from (big or small breeder)...

Oh and yes there are lossers out there willing to pay 5k for a morph... what can you say... other than I love it

Hey Tom... I was'nt meaning it in a negative way... I'm a "loser" that payed lots of money for the Axantic, Albinos, Pastels, and Ghosts in my collection : )

and yes once you take the plunge expect to get really wet... because once you start collecting you just cant stop!
