Here she sits, with her bowl of mealies, watching her 'stories'. she doesnt move at all if she really likes the show. It is so funny, she doesnt fall asleep either. I think indie is a couch potato....

Just curious. Where are the toes? I dont see any on the front feet. But she or he is cuter then can be thats for sure. Funny how she likes tv though. lol

A few years ago when i was first hired at petco (i worked there for 3 years, but i dont any more thank god), the manager was a real btch. She would order batch upon batch of beardies, so every 2 weeks we would get in a fresh batch of babies. The older beardeds would see the newer smaller beardeds as snacks. Unfortunately, i have seen more than one beardie swallowed whole. One time, the largest out of 4 batches had a tiny baby swallowed up to the neck. It was horrible.
Indie was the smallest out of the bunch that had not yet been eaten, but her cage mates (2 dozen or so) had bitten her front feet off at her wrists and had bitten off her tail. When i asked the manager if i could just take her home, she tried to sell her to me half price. Mind you, she was so weak she could not move and she was barely breathing. When i told her that she was going to die if she didnt recieve treatment, she said fine, and just to write her off on the 'dead sheet'. She said i should just 'stick her in the freezer and put her out of her misery anyway.'
So, i took her home. I had no money for vet treatment, and this was way back when petco didnt believe in vet visits, so i did my best.
With a dry tank, high temps, betadine, regular soaks, and hand feeding indie was recovering. I was amazed that she made it personally. So was my boss too. !! wasnt she MAD when she found out that indie lived!! hah!
AAny way, that was 3 years ago. This pic personifies the couch potato that she is now. A friend for life! She is the best.

That is one amazing story. If I was the person working at the Petco, and I saw that poor baby bearded I'd go into debt to save her life if I knew it could be saved with surgery.

I hope your boss got fired because if she didn't then I just can't think of what will happen to all those new bearded's she buys.

What city and state is this petco anyways just so I know not to ever go there and buy anything of anykind from them.

It's cool that your beardie likes watching TV with you. Since Hades is in my room I turn of all the lights (including his regular bask then turn on his uvb for the night) and I'll watch family guy, futurama, it depends what else is on, and Hades will run to the side of his cage to get a better look at the TV so he knows whats going on.

Aren't beardie's the best animals ever? I think they are. And yours, might I ad, is one of the cutest I've ever seen.
