Super UV Coil lamp

dragonbirds Sep 25, 2004 01:40 AM

I really like the Powersun MVB for my Chams, but I can't use them for my dragons (due to a few reasons). So does the ESU Super UV Coil Lamp work as well as the Powersun (- the heat)?
I also saw in the store today a repti-sun 10.0 coil lamp. Anyone try these yet or know where there is info?

Replies would be helpful,
Shannon

it has been my experience that most UV bulbs (with the exception of MVB's) give of little to no heat. I use a 10.0 coil bulb in one cage a a 48" fluorescent UV bulb in another, and i have extra 60w and 100w bulbs for heat.

I use them in all my melemine cages, they measure 4ft X 2 ft X 22 inches high and the work Great i dont recomend them in glass enclousures because glass does not hold heat. they give off enough heat for me in the last few weeks mouths have been open to regulate heat. only using 13 watts of electricty , i drastically cut my electric bill, used to use 50 watt spot bulbs in 8 cages plus noooooooooooooooooo more
