ethical or not

kamakiri Sep 25, 2004 02:12 AM

hello all. i dont yet own any gilas yet but i was wanting to ask this question. my uncle owns 127 acres in southern arizona, sanoran desert. would it be ethical for me to start my gila hobby by catching a pair of WC specimens? also any tips on how to not get bit and their general care is also very much apreciated. thanks for your time folks.

Ethical or not? Most definately NOT. In addition it is also illegal. Gilas are protected throughout their range. Any activity involving free-ranging Gilas requires a scientific permit that would not be issued for your purposes.
