New snakes....and my only keeper....

Spardawolf Sep 25, 2004 08:56 AM

Hello all, I haven't been online much lately. Have been busy car shopping and working. (I really am glad to be done with the car shopping thing, it is a REAL pain) Now I REALLY am done buying snakes for awhile.....car payment...yuck!!

I just picked up this guy yesterday from a local guy. I am really excited to watch him change as he grow.

Hypo Lav Male

Here is a pewter male that will go nicely with my Bloodred het pewter....

02 Bloodred male...finally a decent pic of his gorgeous coloring.

And finally my only keeper from this year...He grew on me, and I couldn't part with him...

Hey Paula,
Great looking snakes. That little keeper has some nice contrast and good pattern, I like it!
Are you and Nancy sisters?
That's cool.
Definitely no one in my family that enjoys the snakes, much less even understands.
Except my wife, of course, but only as spectater sport...lol

We went from sharing the same love of horses to the same passion and obsession of these beautiful reptiles. It is nice to have someone so close to share these beautiful ones with.

The good news is you're recent additions are stunning. The bad news is your addicted and there is no stopping. Just wait till you get interested in locale boas....they're natural variations and subtle color hues are amazing as well as their smaller size. I love your website and your snakes pictured on it are gorgeous. What server/web host do you use for it? Do you have to pay monthly for it? I simply use my AOL free webspace for my site but I'd love a permanent .com address, esp one with more space for pics.

Who knows, maybe we can work on some projects together in the future. With being back to work/teaching, I barely have time now to feed/clean my snakes once a week anymore. It's really backbreaking lately b/c I'm so run down from school, but I manage to get through it b/c I care about my collection so much. I look forward to unwinding in my herp room on the weekends too. When I get more free time (which is rare anymore), I will try to post some pics of my snakes. BTW, my bloodred is acting up yet again and hasn't feed in a month. I don't plan to ever breed her simply b/c she's growing slowly due to randomly going off-feed.

I did however manage to score a pair of bloodred hatchlings that are pigs, among 6 other corns & numerous other snakes. My most recent purchases were a pair of cay caulker boas and a 100% het pied, which I'm really excited about. Is your BP a male/female? Well, I gotta run....VERY nice additions once again and I can't wait to see your bairds in a few more months.

Jason

I know that I am addicted, and believe me it is so very hard to keep from buying all the snakes that I like. I am hoping to work on breeding my own, so I don't have to buy to many anymore. I am expecting the little ones that I ordered from Mike H., and I am really looking forward to seeing them. (and I have already been checking out some of the different tree snakes, they are just so AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL) I am also getting more into the hognose. They are such cute little snakes.

As far as the web site, my sister and I are doing this together and she got the space from Yahoo. I believe that you do have to pay a small monthly fee, but not very much. We are still in the process of getting it finished, but it has come along nicely. Thanks for the compliments.

I would love to work on some projects with someone who has a such a collection of GORGEOUS corns, and that lives fairly close. There is not much of a variety here, that is what I am trying to add to. I was so surprised when I found the guy that had that little hypo lav. He was the only one in this area that had some higher end morphs.

Take care and have a GREAT day!!!!!!!!
