I have recently caught two very tiny anoles to try to offer my stubborn hatchling hognose.
Is there any reason I should not offer this food?
Is there any worry over parasites or other such ?

I doubt a hog would eat anoles. Maybe ground lizards like whiptails but I would be surprised. And yes most herp purists would chastize you for parasites "why take a chance!", possibly with good reason, but I have fed wild-caught lizards, frogs and toads to various snakes for many years with no problems (so far). Now if you had some amazing one of a kind morph, you might want to pre-cook it's food, wear gloves while handling it and sterilize the room, wear a mask etc. (I bet some people actually do that! No offense to anyone who does.) My 1.5 cents. Good luck and keep us posted...
I would first try using the anole to scent a pinkie. I have never done this (I have been lucky enough not to have to), but when I purchased two of my females the breeder told me she had anole scented one of them with success. If this doesn't work, I would go ahead and try feeding the anole. If the snake is in dire need of a meal I believe the parasite risk is outweighed by the starvation risk. (I am assuming you have tried other tricks like toad scenting and tuna scenting)
Just my opinion,
Jim
