Hello Everyone,

Well...I ordered my Rubbermaid 2221 containers, and they arrived yesterday. And I'm a bit upset. They are advertised as being 6" high, but I measured them and they're only 5.75" high. Is this normal? I mean...the comparable Sterilites boast dimension of 6" high, but are they really that high? I ask this because I planned on using these Rubbermaid 2221 containers as "extras" for my Jason's Jungle rack. The height dimensions were the same online, but I haven't measured any Sterilites yet. Anyone know how interchangeable they are?

The dimensions they give on the web are with the lid on. The actual dimnsions are diffent. Its the same with both companies.

The Rubbermaid 2221 is nowhere near being interchangable.

Current snakes:

1.1 Gonyosoma oxycephala - (Silver/Yellow)

3.4 Gonyosoma oxycephala - (Green)

2.1 Gonyosoma janseni - (Black)

The rubbermaid 2221 is nowhere near being interchangable with the sterilite boxes used by Jason.

I have used these boxes in the same rack, however. I simply shimmed the levels with two or three layers of 1/8" hardboard and they worked fine.

Better to get the right boxes, though.
