lighting for frogs

jimiano23 Sep 25, 2004 07:30 PM

i know that uvb lighting isn't completely neccessary for most frogs if supplemented with vitamins. Anyway i was recently in target and saw a GE flourescent light bulb setup costing only 6.99, it was a 15 watt warm bulb. I was wondering if this much cheaper bulb would work in place of the highly overpriced zoomed 5.0 ultraviolet bulbs. Would the GE bulbs be too bright?

If you aren't concerned with the UVB aspect then any bulbs are fine as long as you do not cause the cage to become too warm.
