More Crested Photos...color change sequences and bonuses.

Here's another baby from my Orange Tiger x Burgundy/Orange Fire pairing earlier this year. Some of you may remember the one who dropped it's tail as soon as I got it out of the egg box.

Here it is back then...

And now...Again, quite the color change.

Up next is Uno, the very first Crested I produced.

Here she is on day 1...That baby red will quickly fade away.

Day 3...after the first shed.

3 weeks old...just a plain, tan baby crested gecko.

Fast forward to 3 months old. At this point, I was thinking to myself "Well, you can't win 'em all."

3.5 months old...the first hint of decent color. I was now thinking that I might have been wrong about this one being ugly.

Here she is now. Not really what I would call a red, but more like a deep orange. In fact, her parents are both orange, but more of a normal orange color. The color is every bit as deep in person as it is in these photos. For a nearly patternless gecko, I have to say that she was quite the show stopper at last weekend's Kansas City expo.

OK...that's it on the color change photos today.

Here's another neat little one I'm raising up. It's almost a metallic orange color.

Ok...enough of this picture taking crap.

Here's another one I really like. It's subtle in color right now, but that tan should turn a nice pastel orange as it gets older. Should contrast nicely with the white on the dorsum.

Anthony you really need to stop coloring your geckos with magic marker (yes, that's a joke!) Thanks for sharing all the pictures with us.
